We know it does not seem like much but (titanrose gold) it would be easier to have the skills all close by so we can focus more attention on what going on rather then to make sure we are hitting the icons on the other side of the screen. But we have to do a mixture of both in order to use them which just seem the hardest way to go about it.
For branching chains you can use a macro for each branch and place it on the main skill bar. Hallowed strike is infernal blaze etc. and hallowed strike is booming smash. Just drag the skills in order into the macro editor. Do not use the delay command, it works better if you trigger each part of chain with a button push.
